"Welcome to Witchwood" wood and iron wall sign
By Steel Goddess
Imagine a very magickal place where the whole town is populated by Witches! Centuries old, this town lies in a separate dimension ~ free from human fear and persecution. This town is lovingly referred as WitchWood. Travel one mile past the Cobblestone Cottage Community, you will come across the heart of this lively town. As you wander through the Market, every shop you pass hosts a diverse mix of Witchy goodies. Tree lined streets filled with beautiful display signs ~ from Broom Repair Shops to a Culinary Herb Shop, from the Witches Brew Café to the Magick Hat Lair. This sign was designed as a billboard to welcome visitors and fellow patrons to this most magickal town called Witchwood. A beautiful Witch sits perched on top of a pumpkin with a hearty expression to make anyone feel at ease and welcome. Her golden braided locks frame her smile which cannot be contained by her lips but spreads in sunbeams across her cheeks. Her blue eyes glimmer with excitement and intensity for the festivities that occur here each night. As you well know from my other witchy signs, Witchwood is home for “The Red Witch” tavern ~ famed for its “Flaming Catholic Martini” and broom races. Witchwood is also famous for Miss. Neckerwort’s “Herbal Dragon Tea Society,” exclusive for only a select few and famed for their ability to summon the spirit of the most ancient of dragons. The beautiful town is lined with gorgeous cobblestone shops illuminated by the majestic Full Moon of the night sky. If you are lucky enough to be invited or stumble across this beautiful town, an old stone bridge will lead you into the heart of Witchwood. Tavern signs line the streets with lush and fragrant foliage streaming throughout the shops. You are just in time for the entire town of Witchwood has begun their festivities for the evening with the traditional lit candles flickering in the windows to guide flying Witches and other magickal creatures to their homes!
The tavern sign has been
designed to appear slightly tattered at the edges.
This truly looks as if it could have very easily
came from this lively Witches town called WitchWood!
The wall plaque measures (at its furthest points) 10
inches wide and 5 inches tall. A very pretty iron
ornament adorns the top of this plaque. The
illustration is a copy of my Witchy art on premium
grade paper which has been decoupaged on the front
side of the plaque. The illustration is protected
by 4 layers of clear decoupage glue and have been
sealed with 4 clear coats of Acrylic Sealer Matte.
