Viking Balls
Viking Balls are considered fossils and were
formed from siliceous algae about 65 million years ago. They are
located at Mons Klint Cliffs which are on the Baltic Sea in Denmark.
They were originally mined as crushers in the gold industry. In 1960
the mining ceased when the area became a national park. Now they are
only collected from the beach when washed up by winter storms.
According to Melody, author of Love is in the Earth, these
