Goddess of Healing
Hygeia is the Greek goddess of health and the keeper of
dreams. Her priestesses presided over dream rituals where the patrons sleep in
the temple hoping for a healing dream. Being the granddaughter of Apollo,
Hygeia's lineage that of the healing arts.
Hygeia cleanses the patient psychically and spiritually to aid in the healing
process. Hygeia is the goddess within each of us who knows the grace of being
healthy. Her sacred animal is the serpent, for it holds the secrets of the
causes and cures for all illness.
Hygeia, keeper of healing dreams,
I call on you. to Heal me, mind, body and spirit.
