*Brigit*
Goddess of Inspiration

Called the 'Bright One', Brigit is the patroness of poetry, healing, smithy and the hearth. Bards would invoke her protection from the vengeance of the ones whom illuminated their tales. Her inspiration within the Celtic lands was so great that her shrines and sacred wells survived the conversion to Christianity, where she was canonized as St. Brigit of Kildare.

The symbol of the cauldron, wells, the hearth, the Celtic Cross, and the number nineteen are all sacred to her.

Bright one of the celtic isles;
Brigit of the flames, the hearth and the healing waters,
my spirit calls to you.
I am a bard, open to your inspiration.
Fill my words with poetry
and my essence with your strength.
