Magicalomaha.com Althaea Soaps All products are made completely from scratch, by Althaea in her workshop/retail shop in Johnson City, Tennessee. The vibrant colors are derived from natural herbs, fruits, vegetables, and powdered minerals, oxides and ultramarines. The soaps are superfatted to 20%, and once people try them, they are HOOKED! No soap on the market, handmade or otherwise, can boast this level of emolliency. Yes, it takes longer and is a bit more difficult to create soaps this way, but Althaea believes the results are worth it Althaea Officinalis, or Common Marshmallow, is the main skin-healing ingredient in the Althaea line of Olive Oil Castile Soaps. Marshmallow Root is skin-soothing and draws moisture into the skin, making it a wonderful healing herb that softens and reduces inflammation from a wide variety of skin conditions, including severe dryness, eczema, psoriasis and allergic skin reactions. It also has the wonderful effect of producing a soap which leaves a smooth, emollient slip upon the skin, rather than a thick, skin-stripping lather. Marshmallow root allows our line of Olive Oil Castile soaps to rinse away cleanly and easily while leaving behind calm, soft, extraordinarily   well-hydrated skin.     Althaea Honeyed Amber Soap An opening of bright Lemon Balm leads to the heart of sweet, slightly floral Tupelo Honey predominating over a gentle, warm undercurrent of soft, powdery amber with a hint of skin musk. Rinseability is good and the honey, a natural humectant and skin-shield, leaves your skin nicely conditioned and provides a swirl of natural color to the soap. *Please Note: This is our only non-vegan soap.* Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil; Beeswax; Honey; Essences and Fragrances; Althaea Root. $5.00   Althaea Coconut Scrubbie Soap About The Soap: A large chunk of coconut scented soap, rich with Coconut Milk, finely ground Fresh, Organic Coconut Shreds, ground black sesame seeds and scrubby Blue Poppy Seeds. The scent is true coconut, not Pina Colada...rich, buttery, creamy and Delicious! Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil, Althaea Root, Organic Coconut Shreds, Blue Poppy Seeds and Black Sesame Seeds, Fragrance. $5.00   Althaea MisterX's Angry Skin Soap This is our signature soap for Problem Skin. Essential oil blend geared toward eczema and psoriasis care. The soap is bright orange from African Red Palm oil, high in natural vitamin A (retinoids). I also added skin-soothing herbs to the mix, including Comfrey and Calendula and Althaea root. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil, African Red Palm Oil, Comfrey Root, Calendula Petals, Althaea Root, Essential Oils of Bergamot, Orange, Verbena, Vetiver, Bay, Cypress, Petitgrain and Patchouli $5.00   Althaea Tuberose & Moss Soap About The Soap: Are these perfumes familiar to you? Chloe, Fracas, Versace Blonde? If so, then you have witnessed tuberose in all it's sexy, exhuberantly romantic glory. These flowers are sweet and heady and prized by florists everywhere. The green Moss note in this blend adds a sophisticated foil for the honeyed tuberose. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil; Essences and Fragrances; Althaea Root. $5.00 Althaea Vanilla Bean Soap Here is a vanilla bar that truly smells like rich, dark vanilla bean. Not a "Buttercream" scent, but deep, smoky vanilla that remembers its origins. This is Vanilla beneath the hot tropical sun, the slow drip of dark, caramelized juices. Almost tobacco-like, not quite an insinuation of leather and sun-baked dust, with a fresh hint of the Vanilla Orchid softening the edges and diffusing the heat. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil, Althaea Root, Fragrance, Vanilla Bean infusion. $5.00 Althaea Sensuous Sandalwood Warm and woody, with a sweet softness and a hint of Oriental Amber and resinous Frankincense. With notes of Saffron, Masala Spices, Clove, Nutmeg, Pimento Berries, White Pepper, Mediterranean Broom Flower, Patchouli, Crimson Red Marechal Rose, Ethiopian Guggal Incense, Wengue Wood, Bois de Miel Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil; Althaea Root, Fragrance, Sandalwood Powder, Mineral Colorant. $5.00   Althaea East Indian Patchouli First, make a tea with the leaves and twigs of the East Indian Patchouli plant. Next, use the tea as the liquid in a batch of soap. Third, pour in loads of East Indian Patchouli, augmented with a subliminal whisp of warm, soft Nepalian Amber. Finally, add swirls of natural mineral oxides in red and black. Enjoy the deeply earthy, yet warm and soft, all-enveloping fragrance for men and women. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil, Althaea Root, Fragrances and Essences, natural mineral colorants. $5.00   Althaea Strawberry Smoothie The tart, juicy aroma of fresh-picked berries blended with warm, summery honeysuckle and a hint of clean, soft skin musk. This is not a Jolly-Rancher or Cooked Jam scent, but a true, fresh strawberry under the warm sun, a gentle breeze carrying the aroma of honeysuckles from a nearby rustic fence, kissing sunbaked skin. Truly a fragrance of summer. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil, Althaea Root, Fresh Organic Strawberries, Essences and Fragrances, Natural Mineral Colorant. $5.00   Althaea Green Irish Tweed Soap This is a sporty and very expensive, traditionally masculine scent. Our version of this outstanding fragrance created by the House of Creed® for actor Cary Grant, possesses a spicy-sweet blend of French Verbena and Lemon, with a green center of Florentine Iris and Violet Leaves, and sublime basenotes of Mysore Sandalwood and Ambergris. A very upscale and refined scent. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil; Althaea Root, Fragrances and Essences, natural mineral color. $5.00   Althaea Nag Champa Soap Scented with Nag Champa, the traditional fragrance of Indian Incense. Nag Champa is hard to describe if you are not familiar with it, but imagine a mellow, sweet background of Sandalwood and Amber, with exotic Champaca and Orange Blossoms in the fore and a hint of sweet Eastern spices connecting the two over a base of warm Musk. Not visible in picture, but the tops of the bars are hand-painted with swirls of golden mica. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil, Fragrance, Althaea Root, mica. $5.00   Althaea Chocolate Cake Soap In Chocolate Cake there are hints of vanilla, butter, sugar, cake spice and cream (scents only, this is vegan-safe), but these are only a backdrop to the rich, dark Droste cocoa that stars in this bar. Smells just like a slice of chocolate cake, or a fresh brownie still warm from the oven. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil; Althaea Root, Fragrance, Droste Cocoa Powder. $5.00   Althaea Iced Black Keemun Tea Soap Finally, a true straight astringent black tea scent. No perfume, no lemon, no sugar and no honey; just a strong, pure tea scent. And what a tea! Keemun tea from the Anhui region of China is perhaps the most famous of Chinese teas, and prized for its rich chocolaty flavor, and sumptuous aroma. Ingredients: Saponified Olive Oil; Essences and Fragrances; Althaea Root, Black Tea Leaves. $5.00   Althaea Dragon's Blood Soap Bars This fragrance is a heady mix of incense, vanilla, patchouli and woody base notes, touched with amber and myrrh. Hand-cut pure Olive Oil soap bars, packaged in boxes with 'sniff-and-see' window. Colored with natural mineral oxides, infused with Marshmallow Root. $5.00   Althaea Cardamom & Jasmine Lip Butter Rich lip care from premium plant butters, essential oils & absolutes. Unique flavors, pleasing to lips & also touch-ups for cuticles, etc. Glide on smoothly, not waxy, greasy, grainy or sticky, yet last well &won't melt in your pocket.
