Lama Chodpa Tibetan Incense

We are very proud to carry Lama Chodpa Pure Tibetan Incense. The incense feels incredible. Some of the ingredients have been prayed over by the monks for a year before being put into the incense. The incense is not a perfume-y incense, it smells like burning leaves and herbs. It is not for the aromatic quality but used to create a sanctuary and meditative environment. Perfect for cleansing a home or altar.

Lama Chodpa Incense, a Pure Natural Tibetan Monastic incense from the Himalayan village of Tashi Jong, is 100 % natural and Handmade.

Tibetan tradition is strictly adhered to when making Lama Chodpa incense.

It is made of 31 medicinal herbs and other natural precious substances that lend the incense a blissful touch.

The artisanal process mandates using the purest possible and precious substances in exact proportions, one of the ingredients being the object of a 9-day blessing ceremony for 12 hours a day by 150 monks.

Carefully dried ingredients are individually ground (using a pestle and mortar), blended by hand, mixed into a paste which is squeezed into 5 or 8 inch lengths and then dried. They are then hand packed in protective cardboard tubing, enveloped in screen printed hand-made paper and wax sealed using an auspicious sign seal.

Lama Chodpa Incense is produced through the efforts of a charitable society Friends of Nub Gon Monastery (named after the Nub Gon monastery). Lama Chodpa Incense is made of 31 medicinal herbs and hand prepared traditionally according to the instructions of ancient Tibetan manuscripts.

Lama Chodpa is the specialty of the Ven. Poppa Rabjam Rinpoche who lives in Tashi Jong in India.

Proceeds from the sale of this incense is used to support Nub Gon Monastery & other welfare projects of the organization.

Quality incense when used in the proper way and with the right motivation, brings with it good fortune, happiness and peace.
